Identifying need through strategic planning
Led by our dynamic team of Andrew Smith, Head of Strategy & Change Consulting, and Matt Crossley, Senior Interior Designer, the project was set in motion with a comprehensive Discovery Session, followed by a meticulous gap analysis, setting the foundation for a transformative workplace solution. Our strategy sessions revealed a gap between the existing facilities and an evolving business model, transitioning towards a more energy-focused enterprise. This was an important insight, as the existing workspace had become obsolete, failing to inspire attendance post-COVID-19, despite its comprehensive amenities.
Designing for the future
The team crafted a solution centred on reimagining the use of space, rather than simply downsizing it. Through strategic planning and innovative design, we developed a model that demonstrated how the business could reduce its real estate footprint significantly while enhancing workplace functionality and flexibility. This model was designed to accommodate a 50% growth in team members over the next five years without necessitating additional real estate investments, illustrating our commitment to delivering sustainable, forward-thinking workplace solutions.
" Sustainability is no longer a nice-to-have; it's a must-have. Clients are increasingly savvy about the environmental impact of their projects. Our role is to guide them through the maze of sustainable options and practices, ensuring that we're not just building for today but for the future."
Andrew Smith, Head of Strategy & Change Consulting, Geyer
Blending local with global
This project stands as a testament to the power of understanding and integrating global directives with local nuances. By conducting individual interviews with local business units and aligning them with global standards, we were able to visualise a workspace that encourages attendance, promotes flexibility and supports the holistic organisational shift. The new workspace supports triple the daily occupancy within a third of the size of the previous office, proving that well-considered design leads to more efficient and effective use of space.
Merging disciplines for better outcomes
The transformation we facilitated exemplifies our expertise at the intersection of design, technology, sustainability, and business strategy. By leveraging these disciplines, we delivered a workplace that not only meets today's needs but is also poised for future growth and change. This particular project will be remembered for its strategic foresight, innovative approach to workplace design and the measurable benefits it delivers, setting a new benchmark for how businesses can adapt to the evolving demands of the modern workforce.
" What we're seeing now is a convergence of technology and traditional construction methods. It's not just about using tech for the sake of it; it's about enhancing our ability to deliver projects that are not only cost-effective but also more aligned with modern sustainability and efficiency standards."
