Bird & Bird

For leading international law firm Bird & Bird, it was important that their Australian flagship office reflected their unique culture while maintaining the integrity and passion of their practice.

Geyer's design approach was led by an emphasis on maintaining the tenets of the twoBirds brand – a services-focussed law practice that is collaborative and committed to providing the best tools to help clients navigate the digital world.

To ease the transition from a cellular to an open-plan tenancy, Geyer produced test fits for both types of workspaces, which allowed for open conversations with staff and partners to collaborate on the fitout. Geyer placed an emphasis on the health and wellbeing of staff and considered the modernist elements of the iconic MLC building in the space.

The result is a combination of open and collaborative spaces, with private areas for confidential work. Key features include custom workstations designed in collaboration with staff, allowing Bird & Bird’s lawyers to balance the privacy and storage needed within an open-plan setting.
